Marjory Horowitz is the Chairperson, Chief Executive Officer and Majority Owner of Siwel Consulting, Inc. Upon co-founding the company in 1992, she began to build the business by assuming primary responsibility for a variety of functions, including negotiating contracts with suppliers, creditors and utilities, planning and executing customer sales events and managing receivables and payables. She was named Treasurer in 1996, overseeing all financial operations for the company through 2003, when she was appointed Chairperson.
Marjory serves on Siwel’s Board of Directors as its Chairperson, approves all key organization policies and has overall responsibility for business policy, financial planning and performance, personnel decisions and day-to-day operations.
Prior to founding Siwel, Marjory was President and sole owner of a customer-focused consulting business serving private clients. She began her career as a teacher, and has a BA with honors, an MS in Education and was a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology.
Lew Johnson is the co-founder, President and a shareholder of Siwel Consulting Inc., reporting directly to the Chairperson. Since 1992, when he ended a successful 23-year run in senior business and technical management roles with IBM, he has shaped one of the Northeast’s leading IT engineering and consulting organizations. Lew possesses the rare combination of integrity, technical expertise and business acumen that clients consistently tell us sets Siwel Consulting apart from other IT solution providers.
Lew currently serves on Siwel’s Board of Directors, maintains overall responsibility for technology direction and participates in development of long and short-term sales, operations and vendor strategies. He is a passionate, hands-on leader with deep roots in the technology community and strong relationships with today’s major IT innovators. His string of accomplishments at Siwel includes building industry partnerships, developing business opportunities, managing key relationships with both partners and customers, and implementing customer satisfaction programs. Lew continues to represent Siwel Consulting at important technical and industry events.
Tom Illari has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience, and has managed financial operations for dynamic technology companies in the New York City metropolitan area since 1990. He joined Siwel in 2005 as Controller, and has managed all financial, administrative and human resources operations for the company. He immediately re-engineered Siwel’s accounting systems in accordance with GAAP standards, establishing and documenting policies, procedures and internal controls. Tom was promoted to CFO in 2009.
Today Tom is responsible for overall business, financial and marketing planning and metrics, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and management reporting for Siwel, under the direction of the CEO. As the liaison to Siwel’s outside legal counsel, he manages and reviews all client and partner contracts, leases and statements of work.
Tom has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and earned his MBA in Finance from St. John’s University in New York.
Michele Metz is Siwel Consulting’s Executive Vice President and Corporation Secretary, and has been an integral part of Siwel’s success since joining the company in 1994 as assistant to the president. After handling all vendor relationships, ordering and administrative functions for five years, she began her ascent in the company – adding the title of Corporation Secretary in 1999 before her promotions to Vice President in 2002 and Executive Vice President in 2003.
Michele currently reports directly to the CEO and is ultimately responsible for the operations side of Siwel’s business, including the engineering, project management and account operations teams, channel relationships and co-marketing, and executive relationships with Fortune 100 clients, including sales, profitability and supply chain management.
Prior to joining Siwel, Michele worked in the communications field in editorial, public relations and administrative management roles with multi-national companies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc. and Dun & Bradstreet.
Frank Venezia joined Siwel Consulting in 2011 as a member of the executive management team. He manages Siwel’s sales organization and client services portfolio, and sets the vision for Siwel’s highly respected and rapidly expanding IT Asset Management practice. Frank provides Siwel clients with an intimate knowledge of IT service delivery as well as software and hardware contracts in both enterprise and middle market environments, developed during more than 15 years as a software group manager and a client executive with IBM. There he had primary responsibility for one of IBM’s largest customers on the east coast, as well as many of their smaller General Business customers.
With an educational background in electrical engineering and his experience at IBM, Frank is able to objectively and thoroughly assess client business problems, and then take a direct, “hands-on” approach to development of cost-effective technology solutions that align with these business needs. He is a “client-first” business executive that demands technical and service excellence from his Siwel team – but never more than he demands from himself as he nurtures Siwel’s relationships with each client.
In addition to his time at IBM, Frank spent three years as a Telecommunications Engineer and a Project Manager at Bellcore. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, and earned his Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University in 1992.
