Siwel Launches its Software Entitlement Reconciliation System
Proprietary System Analyzes the Cost Impact of Shifting License Metrics
New York City, NY. – September 30, 2009 – Siwel Consulting, Inc. announces the launch of its new proprietary Entitlement Reconciliation System (ERS). The system provides in-depth analytics to determine the financial impact of changing licensing metrics. Siwel uses this data to compare past metrics with proposed changes in new license agreements. The comparison provides clients with a quantitative analysis of the cost implications associated with the new software contract.
“Software vendors are constantly changing licensing metrics—whether it is due to technology innovations or simply a negotiation tactic—making it impossible for companies to conduct an apples to apples comparison of the new contract versus the old,” according to Jason Heckler, Siwel’s Vice President of SAM Services, “our new Entitlement Reconciliation System tracks these changing metrics and provides an analysis so clients fully understand the cost impact of the new contract.”
Siwel is involved in a large number of software contract negotiations every year. “One of our primary services is Contract Advisory Services,” according to Mr. Heckler “as a result, we have a front seat to dozens and dozens of contract negotiations and renewals each year.” The frequent exposure to software contract negotiations makes Siwel uniquely qualified to gather the information that drives the Entitlement Reconciliation System. Siwel is able to review each new licensing metric against ERS to identify cost reduction opportunities for clients. Ultimately, the system puts Siwel’s clients in a stronger position during contract negotiations.
Siwel’s Entitlement Reconciliation System is part of Siwel’s Contract Advisory Services for Software Asset Management.
