Siwel Consulting Named a Representative Vendor in 2018 Gartner Market Guide for Software Asset Management Managed Services Providers
Recently Gartner released its very first Market Guide for Software Asset Management Managed Services Providers. In this industry research, Gartner outlines attributes of representative vendors that are providing offerings in the Software Asset Management (SAM) market to give further insight into the market itself.
Siwel is one of only six U.S. based companies included in this research.
At the beginning of the market guide, Gartner describes a key finding stating “the use of SAM managed service providers is steadily growing as more organizations recognize both the importance of the discipline and the challenges of internally delivering desired benefits with scarce resources.”
Gartner goes on to recommend that companies “evaluate utilizing SAM managed service providers as a means of addressing the growing complexity and scarcity of required SAM skills.” By using a SAM Managed Service provider, organizations leverage a pool of expert resources and in the process raise the level of their SAM maturity.
Siwel’s Managed Services provide organizations with an opportunity to leverage our certified resources, processes, and best practices to enhance their internal capabilities and overcome existing gaps and deficiencies. Each Managed Services engagement is customized to meet the unique needs of the client including the specific skills or services that are required, number of resources, software publishers to be covered, and SAM tools to be used as well as any business or geographic scope considerations. Siwel’s Managed Services are scalable and trusted by global organizations across multiple industries to help internal teams in establishing best practice processes for day-to-day operations, assist with contract negotiations and audits, and manage and optimize IT hardware and software assets effectively.
Gartner explains that “a well-developed and well-resourced SAM service can become a rich source of both data and intelligence that can be leveraged across a range of opportunities for optimization. SAM service requirements are now increasingly focused on driving visibility across a range of environments and platforms, with data required for an array of governance and management functions.”
For the past 20 years, Siwel has been providing SAM Managed Services to enterprise clients. Lewis Johnson, founder and president of Siwel says, “Our Managed Services clients have retained our services year after year because of the value and expertise that we continue to bring to their SAM programs.”
